Lip Care Routine

My lip care routine keeps my lips soft, smooth, and plump. Here's a Holy Grail lip care routine that you can follow:

1. Exfoliate

Lip Scrub: Twice a week, I incorporate the e43 lip scrub. lip scrub into my routine for a gentle exfoliation. Among the various lip scrubs I've tried, this one stands out as a favourite. Infused with Agave Nectar and Shea Butter, it has such a creamy scent that you can almost taste it. The scrub effectively removes dead skin cells, leaving your lips feeling noticeably softer and smoother.

2. Cleanse

Cleansing oil: On days when you wear lipstick or lip products, use a cleansing oil (I use Cle de Peau Beaute - Cleansing Oil on a cotton pad to remove any residue before bed. This prevents your lips from drying out overnight.

3. Hydrate:

  • Lip oil and lip blam. These two are crucial, I can’t tell you how many lip balms I’ve gone through in this lifetime because soft moisturised lips mean everything to me. Invest in a high-quality, hydrating lip balm. Look for ingredients like shea butter, beeswax, coconut oil, sunflower, jojoba and argan.  Ensure your lip balm also includes SPF to protect them from UV rays.

4. Overnight Treatment:

  • Lip Mask: At night I reapply the Dior lip oil then a thick layer of Collagen Lip Mask. This deep treatment can help repair and rejuvenate your lips overnight.

  • Using a lip mask ensures that you wake up with perfectly moisturised and plump lips, unlike when you only rely on lip balm, which tends to dry quickly.

  • Korean Gel mask: Once a week I use a Jelly Lips Patch. I let it sit for 20 minutes and then peel off for instant soft glowing lips.

5. Stay Hydrated:

Water Intake: Staying well-hydrated is crucial for overall skin and lip health. Make sure you drink enough water throughout the day to keep your lips from getting dehydrated.

6. Diet and Nutrition:

Balanced Diet: A diet rich in vitamins, especially B vitamins and omega-3 fatty acids, can help maintain healthy lips. I love including foods like salmon, avocado, and macadamias into my diet.

7. Avoid Harsh Products:

Harsh Lipsticks: Be mindful of the products you put on your lips. Some lipsticks, especially matte formulas, can be drying. Opt for high quality hydrating lipsticks or use primer underneath. I use lip tint, lip jelly and in the centre of my lips for a subtle gradient effect.

Routine: Consistency is key to maintaining healthy lips. Make lip care a part of your daily skincare routine to ensure your lips stay soft and supple. xx
